Call for Webinars

The European Journal of Personality has issued a call for webinars! The call is open for any personality-related concepts or statistical techniques.

We are seeking webinar proposals that encompass a wide range of ideas, concepts, and advancements in the study of individual differences. Whether your expertise lies in exploring novel personality traits, investigating the complexities of cognitive processes, or unravelling the genetic and environmental influences on personality, we encourage you to share your research and insights with our readership.

Additionally, we invite webinars focusing on statistical approaches and models employed in personality research. From multivariate statistical techniques to latent variable modelling, we aim to explore the latest advancements in statistical methodologies that allow us to gain deeper insights into the complexities of human personality.

Benefits of participating in our webinar series include:

  1. Presenting your research to a diverse and engaged audience of personality researchers and practitioners.

  2. Nurturing collaborative opportunities and networking with fellow experts in the field.

  3. Sharing your expertise and knowledge to advance the collective understanding of individual differences and statistical approaches in personality research.

  4. Enhancing your professional profile and gaining visibility within the global personality research community.

Criteria:

·         The webinar’s length should be no longer than an hour and a half.

·         In order to maximize the impact of our webinars, we strongly encourage participants to include their face while speaking and narrating throughout the session.

·         The webinar needs to be live, and it should take place on either Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

·         “Show, don’t tell”. While verbal explanations and descriptions are undoubtedly valuable, the power of visual representation cannot be overstated. When conducting a practical webinar (e.g., a tutorial on a statistical method), it is crucial to prioritize showing over telling.

How to propose a webinar?

To submit a webinar proposal, please provide a concise summary (200-300 words) outlining the topic, objectives, and key points you plan to cover. Additionally, include a brief bio highlighting your qualifications and expertise in the subject matter. Please email the proposal to either Yavor Dragostinov (y.dragostinov@sms.ed.ac.uk) or Lisanne de Moor (e.l.demoor@gmail.com).
